ABOUT ME
Hi! My name is Ryan Hertlein and I am a rising fifth year Chemical Engineering and MBA student at the University of Cincinnati. Chemical Engineering is the right field for me because it allows me to combine my passion for math and science with my desire to solve the world’s great challenges. I look forward to a career where I can lead others and work to improve the lives of people everywhere. I am currently completing my fifth co-op rotation with Procter & Gamble in Cincinnati, OH, where I apply my classroom learning to solve process challenges in Baby Care manufacturing. Outside of the classroom, I enjoy chasing different adventures and following wherever they lead me. I earned my Eagle Scout award in 2018, and I continue to pursue my love for the outdoors by camping and backpacking with friends whenever I can.
Through participating in extracurricular activities, I look to further my passion for community engagement. Volunteering as a ROAR tour guide and a member of the Student Alumni Council gives me a unique opportunity to interact with other Bearcats at all stages of their UC career. Some of my best memories on campus have been sharing my love for UC with prospective students and their families as well as reminiscing about favorite Cincinnati traditions with alumni. Through the University Honors Program, extracurricular activities, and my studies in Chemical Engineering, I am excited to become the best version of myself during my final year as a student at the University of Cincinnati!
